    UCGS Design & Technology Department

It is our aim to equip young people with the skills necessary to take a proactive role in society. Pupils build their knowledge and confidence by creating innovative solutions to identified problems, considering both functional and aesthetic needs. Students will have an appreciation of the social, economic and environmental impact technological developments have on the world so they can become responsible, informed designers and consumers.

Additional lunchtime support sessions are run for our Year 11 students, with our KS5 students having an open door policy to spend extra time on their projects, during their non-contact periods.
