There is a consultation being run at the moment into proposed changes to the way schools are funded. I have shared with parents, governors and students the increasing pressures we are under to cope with the reductions in funding that started in 2011 and are set to continue. The new formula does not provide us with any comfort after the last “mean years” as we will continue to see our budget cut. This is true for other local schools and we, together with all the other secondary Headteachers, have written to Theresa May, Prime Minister, to express our concerns. I ask that you support us secure your children’s right to quality education and join us in contacting your own MPs.
