It is our aim to equip young people with the skills necessary to take a proactive role in society. Pupils build their knowledge and confidence by creating innovative solutions to identified problems, considering both practical and aesthetic needs. Students will have an understanding of the impact that social, economic and environmental issues have on us and the worldwide community.
In Years 7 & 8 all students study Food Preparation & Nutrition. Projects are varied and are in two distinct areas. Firstly, learning the theoretical aspects of the course by completing an investigative project, which includes elements of creativity. Secondly, developing a broad range of practical skills, forming part of the core knowledge for the AQA GCSE specification, through the preparation of range of different dishes.
