    Ms K O'Neil BA (Hons.)

    French is still one of the most popular languages studied in the UK and our department, which consists of inspirational and knowledgeable teachers, boasts outstanding practice. We frequently train student teachers and we set exceptionally high expectations of our teachers and students alike. The department provides a welcoming, safe, stimulating working environment in which all students are nurtured to achieve their best! The department offers a multitude of opportunities for foreign visits which place an emphasis on developing cross-curricular learning skills through visits to art galleries, places of worship and other historical monuments. We also have created numerous links with schools abroad; through these incredible links, students are able to exchange exciting letters throughout the year and can participate in school exchange programmes which provide them with a glimpse of French life. The curriculum offered is broad and balanced, and enables students to become immersed in the language and

    The MFL department is continually working alongside various other departments during Language days and European Day of Languages. Our French teachers also never fail to keep the tradition going with Crêpe making!
