    Students and staff at Upton Court Grammar School celebrated outstanding success on GCSE results day, with 100% of all students achieving five or more GCSE passes including English and Mathematics.

     

    95% gained passes in eight or more subjects.

     

    61% of all GCSEs awarded were grades A*/A and 9/8/7 (under the new numerical GCSE grading system). A third of the cohort achieved eight or more A*/A and 9/8 grades.

     

    The new numerical grading system has introduced a new top grade 9, equivalent to a top A* grade; 25% of all mathematics students achieved this outstanding result.

     

    Upton Court Grammar School Principal Mercedes Hernandez Estrada said “This year, with the new grading system in maths and English, our students have continued to demonstrate the excellent progress and outcomes that have been a tradition in this school. We congratulate our students and staff for their exceptional achievements.
