Staff and students at Upton Court Grammar School raised money for Children in Need last week and raised over £1300 for the charity. Activities included a grand teddy bear competition, a Staff talent show, a penny marathon and a Pudsey treasure hunt. Students also left their uniforms at home on Friday 15 November and came to school in a range of costumes donating money towards the cause.
The fundraising for Children in Need beat last year's money raised by over £300, which is a testament to the students' compassion and desire to help less privileged members of the community. A number of other charity events are held throughout the year.
Upton Court Grammar School Principal Mercedes Hernández Estrada said "Our students showed a great deal of imagination in their choice of activities to raise funds. It was a fantastic day which allowed them to show their commitment to help others."
