Year 13 students at Upton Court Grammar School bid an emotional farewell to staff and each other on Friday 18 May, marking the end of seven years at the school.
In an hour-long assembly led by students Alexa-Kara Deltchinov and Avleen Sarai, there were singing and dancing performances, speeches, awards and a video celebrating students’ time at the school. The eighteen year old students reminisced about their experiences and successes, and wished each other well for the future.
Amongst the tears of joy, there was a strong sense of determination for the forthcoming A Level examinations, as most students hold conditional offers from a range of universities and degree courses.
Head of Upton Court Grammar School, Mark Pritchard, said “All at Upton Court Grammar School are immensely proud of our Year 13 students. Their hard work and commitment will pay off in the final exams and I know that that they have all the skills and attributes to become leaders in our society. We wish them well in all their future endeavours.”
