There were tears of sadness on Friday 8 May, as Year 13 students bid farewell to staff and to each other marking the end of seven years at Upton Court Grammar School. Daniel Aduakwa and Felix Bailey led a leavers’ assembly full of laughter, memories and emotions, enabling the year group to reminisce about their time at the school.
There was also a strong sense of trepidation as students reflected on the skills they had acquired during their time at the school, and looked forward to University and career beyond. The school has an outstanding track record of producing future leaders, and there is a great deal of anticipation that this latest batch of youngsters will achieve amazing things.
Upton Court Grammar School Principal Mercedes Hernandez Estrada said “Year 13 students left today with the tools to be academically successful and become the leaders of tomorrow. Seeing the develop and grow over the years has been a real privilege."
