Upton Court Grammar School teacher, Tracey Wells, was one of a hundred teachers nationally recognised by the British Science Association and received the Crest (Creativity in Science and Technology) award. Mrs Wells, who is Head of Technology, was recognised by the organisation for supporting students achieving the highest Crest awards in building their skills and demonstrating personal achievement in project work.
Mrs Wells supported students, aged 16-18, who worked hard in developing their design and technology skills, resulting in 22 Silver and 2 Gold awards.
Upton Court Grammar School Principal Mercedes Hernandez Estrada said “Science and technology are very important subjects and we take great pride in encouraging students to develop their creativity in these areas. Mrs Wells has had her long term commitment to this aim rewarded officially and we congratulate her."
