  • Physics

    Physics forms part of the compulsory Science curriculum at GCSE, and students in years 9 to 11 follow the AQA Science specification. Most students take the separate Physics course in the three years of GCSE, supported by the ‘How Science Works’ element of their learning. Topics taught include Energy and energy resources, Mechanics, Heat, Light, Sound, Electricity, Electromagnetism Nuclear Physics and the Universe. Assessment is through written unit examinations, and the practical Centre Assessed Unit.
